Ocean Variety now split into two bands.

At the start of the week we were informed that our band would be split into two bands, due to the size of the band (7 members) and to make it much easier for our tutours to mark our individual contributions.

The new band line up for me is...

Myself - Guitar

Charles - keys/bass/guitar

Nina - Lead Vocal

Jerome - Drums

Jerome is now basically a session drummer for both the bands as he comes in, we tell him what we need and he performs.

Thoughts on new band:

At first I was very shocked and saddened to hear of the bands break up, but i fully understand to the reason why it was done, and I am really excited to be honest as now everybody has a chance to be as creative as possible, and there won't be as many filters for ideas to go through. Meaning and Idea can take shape quicker without objections from other band members.

I am really looking forward to carrying on working with charles, as we've really clicked in terms of songwriting and are coming up with some awesome material. We stay late after college most days to work on our ideas, so it's really great to be working with another songwriter who has the same level of commitment in making sure we write great songs.

Of course working with Nina is always amazing as she is a incredible talent, and has unlimited potential to be as good as she wants to.

Between the 3 of us i'm really looking forward to seeing what we create together.
