Tasks for our deadline on June 13th.

Planning our rehearsal time: To make sure we can keep on track and split our workload into small individual goals we have made a rough time table for us to plan exactly week by week what our goals are for said week.

Our schedule consists of having at least having one original completed in a week or just over, with the 2 cover songs squeezed into one of those weeks also.

As of this blog we have roughly 5 weeks until the gig, and right now we have 1 cover song finished, 2 originals in the works with one being almost completed and the 2nd being well on it's way also. I hope to have both of these songs finished by this week, bringing up our finished songs to 3 and having 3 left to complete. With that being said providing this can be done we will have 4 weeks to finish 3 songs and one of which will be another cover which will take no time at all to learn.

How we are going to promote the band: To promote the band we have to make sure we are using social media to our fullest advantage such as creating a Facebook page, a band twitter, and also a sound cloud page. These are going to be very important to get our original material out there and to make people aware of what we are doing. What we can also do is promote ourselves by gigging also. Some of us play in a local pub usually every week, so by playing more there and hopefully other places we can promote our band by playing our original material. Making the most of recording sessions: We have only a certain amount of recording time available to us and to make sure we use it correctly we need to make a plan on what songs we shall record. By finishing some original material quick enough we then have a choice to record original songs, which will be great to put on sound cloud/Facebook etc as it is original material and people can get a better idea of what kind of band we are instead of just using covers. What we are going to need to to do is make timetable similar to our rehearsal one so we can delicate certain goals for each individual session. Creating a band image: It's very important for a band on stage to look like a group and not a bunch of individuals sharing the same space. This is why a band uniform is very important and we will have a discussion about what kind of image we want, and to make sure it will represent what type of music we play.
