Why I chose this particular material to learn and perform.

When I joined the band with nina and the rest, they had already chose there 3 songs, however i can still talk about as to why these songs were chosen as we discussed this as a band.

Don Broco - You wanna know:

This is a song that is all about high energy, this is shown by the heavy guitar riffs featuring on the intro and chorus. Naturally this is a song choice featured to a younger audience, with the intention of creating a high energy within the crowd. With heavy distorted guitars and a catchy vocal, the idea is to get the crowd singing the hook along with us, and the instrumental to get them moving.

Marvin Gaye - Let's get it on:

This was a fun choice of song as this can be aimed at any audience, young or old. The reason being is that this song is a huge classic that most people know, and anybody can listen to. No matter what type of muisc you listen to, the idea of playing this track is that it is something everybody knows and will enjoy. During our perfomances we wrote some guitar solo's to go with the track to give it a little something extra for the audience to watch, as it is a basic chord progression and that isn't always the most exciting to watch.

Limp Bizkit - Rollin:

Finally this track is definitely aimed at a younger audience, it's a song that is about attitude and having aggression to it. Not something that most older audiences watch. There is a heavy guitar riff to this song which would aim it more toward a rock auidence, however with the vocals being all rap, this is a song that can cross two genres, and hopefully it will come across to the younger members of the audience as most of our audience will be the rest of our course.
