After just re-watching back there performances from the night, It just reminded me how much of an excellent performance pod 5 gave.

Thoughts on the band performance as a whole:

I'll start by saying that the performing of the songs they had was executed to near perfection. The tempo's were all constant, they were always in time with eachother, but most importantly to me was that they sounded like a professional band that have been playing with eachother for a long time. On their performance of "make me wanna die" they play it with such energy and aggression, which is exactly what the track is suppossed to be. When they played their opening song "love bites" I was watching in the audience with a friend of mine and I was genuinely really into the song, it got me pumped up wishing for a mosh pit (sadly the audience were rather dead), but If these guys were playing in a venue, i'd be the first person in line to see them.

Another strong point is how they had such a diverse group of songs play, they went from playing hard rock tracks, to some funk in michael jackson love never felt so good, to frank sinatra. They performed all of these differant types of songs to perfection demonstrating just how diverse all of them are as musicians are, and to me that is the strongest trait you can have as a musician.

Comments on the individuals:

As a guitarist myself I pay close attention to other guitarists when they play so I was really impressed by matt and finns playing.

Matt played more of the rhythm guitar, but he delivered his parts with such genuine enjoyment and commitment. When he played the heavy riff sections of "love bites" and "make me wanna die" he really exentuated his strumming patterns, and played with an almost a ferocity, from his stage presence to his playing. Contrasting to this on the softer songs such as "fly me to the moon" he could play his parts with such a natural gentle flow to his playing it was great to watch as a fan of these guys. He owned his parts and looked a complete natural while doing so. I also think that matt and finn complimented eachother well and their playing was very tightly knitted together.

Finn was the lead guitarist throughout the performance and finn is in my opinion the most technically skilled player out of all of the guitarists. It's one thing to be technically skilled, but finn plays his parts with such ease, that really sets him apart and it's great to watch somebody with his level of talent play. He nailed all of his solos effortlessly and his stage presence was on point, he looked like he was having fun, he looked relaxed and his playing spoke for itself. My personal favorite performances of finns is their original song. Knowing finn had a lot to do with the composition showcased his variety of his playstyles and his creativity. I had a lot of fun watching him play and hope to play with him myself at somepoint.

Reece nailed his performance on the drums, he was just in the zone the whole show. Not much to say regarding his playing as it was perfect throughout and he played with a ton of energy that its infectious to watch. Reece plays so effortlessly that again, it's just a pleasure to watch him.

I was really proud watching sasha perform as i knew she was worried before she went onstage, but i can say that sasha played brilliantly. In terms of her bass playing specifically she played with a nice natural flow. She complimented finn and matt nicely as her playing was the solid base that allowed finn and matt to branch off and really let loose. Her stage presence was great as I mentioned before, she looked relaxed and you could tell she was really into the music. I also think that sasha'a playing is quite underated, and as time will go on i'm sure she'll get even better.

Alice did a great job on the vocals and also did a good job at talking to the audience. I'm a big fan of alice's voice especially on "fly me to the moon" as i feel she has a great voice for that style of music. She also seemed confident up there in the centre of the stage and opened herself up to the audience, made eye contact, and had fun while doing so.

Any constructive advice I can give:

In all honesty I can't think of anything that I can say that they really needed to improve on. If I have to pick something, maybe perhaps some more practice on the vocals on "love never felt so good" as i felt at time it seemed alice struggled with some notes. This is the only thing that I can think of.

Final Thoughts:

These guys were my favorite performance of all the bands and I really enjoyed being able to watch them play. They put on a great show and as an audience member I had a great time. I'm proud of everybody who played and they should be really proud of this performance.
