Recording Marvin Gaye, and our own composition in the studio

Today we had a studio session with nick where we were told we would be recording two tracks of our choice. First of all we were in the mastering suite looking back at our street performences, looking through the pictures, and the videos of the other bands as well as our own. Myself and the rest of the band had a little bit of constructive criticism for ourselves.

After this we were given some time to play on the stage area with the street cubes to make sure we get the sound we want to perform our two tracks in the sudio when we record them. During the time we also ran through our songs to make sure that we had them fresh in our memories for the recording.

It came for our time in the studio. Myself, Millie, Nathan and jerome recorded our parts in the control room, while Nina recorded her vocals in the studio. We didn't take much time to set up, I recorded my guitar through the sound processor which went into the mixing desk. After we all adjusted our settings we jumped straight into the recording. We finished Marvin Gaye, and went straight into our own composition.

Nick had recorded our recording session with a video camera so we will be able to use that footage to show our recording at work.
