Group Crit. Evaluation of Our Interim Gig

Today we watched through our performences with rebecca and took some time to come up with what we thought went well and why, and also what could be improved.

What went well and why?

Our timing on throughout our songs was for the most part all in time perfectly. This is a credit to us all being tightly knitted as a band, and having an understanding of the tempo we will play at, and understanding what each person is going to play (though there were some mistakes on some tracks). While marvin gaye needed to be faster than what we played it at, we still kept our tempo constant, not to try and speed it up as that would draw a lot of attention and ruin the listening for the audience.

What could have gone better and why?

The main thing that we needed to improve was having a complete understanding of our parts that we are playing, and knowing when to make the chord changes we need to without looking for other for guidence. This could have been remedied by spending more pod sessions rehearsing every song at least once, but we got a little comfortable with our over confidence on certain songs and it showed.
